Summary

This program allows you to choose from over 40 study areas across the humanities, social sciences and languages, giving you the opportunity to study the subjects you love. Combine your Bachelor of Arts with 14 other undergraduate degrees including Law, Engineering, Science or Business, enabling you to complete two degrees in a shorter amount of time. Structure your program into two single majors; or an extended major and a minor; or one single major and two minors. Any major can also be studied as a minor. Access state-of-the-art facilities including laboratories, a fully equipped drama theatre, industry-standard media studios and editing suites, and a UN-standard interpreter training facility.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies

This major will help you appreciate the unique way that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people see the world. YouÕll gain a deep understanding of Indigenous perspectives on everyday life in Australia today and on major social, economic and political events in Australia's history. You'll also learn from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander teachers and non-ATSI teachers who work closely with Indigenous communities.

IELTS overall 6.5; reading 6; writing 6; speaking 6; listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19. TOEFL PB - Overall 570, listening 54, reading 54, writing 59/5. Pearsons - Overall Score of 64 and 60 in all sub bands. BEP - A minimum overall grade of 4 plus a minimum grade of C in all macro skills. CES - Overall 176 and 169 in all sub bands. OET is not accepted.
