Overview
The Associate Degree of Engineering will give you the freedom of choice to start up your engineering career or set a stepping stone for further study. Study while you work, either externally or on-campus, and have the flexibility to adapt your study to your life.
Within relevant courses, you will apply practical analysis and technical principles to all areas of Civil Engineering, including the design, material testing, construction, inspection, plant operation and manufacturing processes involved.
Already have a Diploma through TAFE or experience through work? Then fast track your degree with the credit you’ve already earned.
Further study
This degree is a great stepping stone to our Bachelor of Engineering Science where you will be credited for your studies already undertaken in the Associate Degree of Engineering (if studying in the same major).
Professional accreditation
When you graduate with your Associate Degree, you’ll be eligible for full accreditation with Engineers Australia. Apply for membership after you graduate to become an Engineering Associate (Officer) and with the experience you will gain from working in the field, you can apply for chartered status as an Engineering Officer.
Career outcomes
You will gain the qualifications to work as a Civil Engineering Officer on major infrastructure projects involving construction, operation and maintenance of roads, bridges, buildings, water supply schemes, industrial and manufacturing plants.
