Summary

UEE62520 – Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering provides competencies to design and validate/evaluate refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and systems, manage risk, estimate and manage projects and provide technical advice/sales. It includes regulatory requirements for purchasing and handling refrigerants.

Practice in workplace and during training is subject to regulations directly related to occupational health and safety.

Packaging Rules:

To achieve a Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering (UEE62520) a total of 43 units must be completed:

Thirty-Nine (39) core units.

Four (4) elective units

Qualification Issued

Completing all the units of competency within this qualification will lead to the issuance of an Advanced Diploma of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering (UEE62511) and a transcript of academic record. Students that successfully complete individual units of competency, but not the whole qualification, will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment detailing the completed units.

AIBT does not guarantee that:

  • completion of an AIBT qualification will lead to an employment outcome; or
  • a learner will successfully complete a training product on its scope of registration; or
  • a training product can be completed in a manner which does not meet the requirements of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

Entry criteria

Entry requirement:

Completion of UEE32211 Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration or

Completion of UEE42711 Certificate IV in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Servicing or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

Academic requirement:

Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent with satisfactory completion of mathematics and physics.

English requirement:

A minimum of IELTS 5.5 or equivalent is required, TOEFL iBT score of 46-59; Cambridge score of 47; PTE score of 42.
