Level of study: Career Based/Vocational
Our CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry provides students with comprehensive training for pursuing work in the carpentry field, and considers all practical and theoretical factors of the carpentry trade. This course will cover the work involved with residential and commercial properties.
Students will learn the specific skills and tasks carpenters must perform in the building process, however, will also gain important knowledge of other trades in the construction industry. This is necessary for future employment as a carpenter’s work often accommodates other trades on a work site.
The construction industry strongly believes gaining the appropriate skillset and knowledge required for the industry will only occur with training and assessment that’s undertaken in a real or very closely simulated workplace environment. Therefore, this qualification requires all core units to be delivered in this context.
Completion of the General Induction Training Program specified by the National Code of Practice for Induction Training for Construction Work (ASCC 2007) is required before entering a construction work site. Successful completion of unit CPCCOHS1001A meets this requirement.
