Summary
The Diploma of Yoga Teaching allows you to build on the CIV Yoga towards becoming a Specialist Yoga Teacher. You will deepen your knowledge and skills with advanced subjects of Yoga, meditation and philosophy. You will learn the principles of Yoga Therapy and how to deal with students who have special needs and chronic conditions. You will also undertake learning on Yoga for the stages of life including yoga for pregnancy, children’s yoga and yoga for the aged.
What do you learn in a Diploma of Yoga Teaching?
The Diploma of Yoga Teaching course will prepare you to:
Develop courses and programs utilising advanced Yoga techniques
Conduct Yoga lifestyle and nutritional assessments
Adapt yoga for different life stages including pregnancy, children and the aged. Conduct Yoga classes for students with chronic conditions or special needs
Undertake research in yoga projects
Apply Yoga philosophy concepts in yoga classes, workshops and retreats.
Deliver first aid.

At the Diploma level, the qualification offers comprehensive training into advanced Yoga teaching techniques and Yoga as therapy. Those qualified, will have the specialised skills needed to work with individuals at various life stages, tailor classes for special needs or offer a deeper teaching practice into pranayama (breath), asana (postures), yoga philosophy and meditation.
