Townsville Grammar School has two Junior School Campuses offering Pre-Prep to Year 6, located in Annandale and North Shore.
Students in the Junior School begin their Grammar journey with programs offered across the year levels, from pastoral care through to co-curricular, leadership and service programs.
High standards for respectful behaviour translates into maximised learning in the classroom and into a School culture where manners, inclusivity, a sense of welcome and joy are evident. Junior School education focuses on literacy, numeracy, creativity and problem-solving through the delivery of core curriculum and specialist lessons in STEM, Performing Arts, Music, Languages (French), Library and Physical Education.
The Prep Program sets the foundation for the Grammar approach to teaching and learning. The Prep Program is delivered by Early Childhood trained teachers with full-time teacher aides in each Prep classroom.
