Get your break in the music industry sooner with this advanced level qualification. This course will give you access to industry-standard studios and the foundation skills needed to operate equipment and software.
You'll be trained to develop sound designs; create a final sound balance; set up and operate lighting cues and effects; mix recorded music; edit sounds; and manage audio for outdoor events. Our highly experienced and passionate teaching team have years of industry experience and will give you one-on-one guidance to prepare you for a career in the music industry.
Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an assistant sound engineer or composer. It will also give you the foundation knowledge needed to undertake further training in the field.
The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete all core and 12 elective units.

Academic Requirements: Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent). Non school-leavers must have relevant work experience or qualification that indicates likely success of course completion.
Students should be a minimum of 18 years of age. Student visa applicants under the age of 18 will be accepted where they demonstrate that they will be accompanied by a parent, legal custodian or a suitable relative who is aged 21 or over. This arrangement requires the approval of the Department of Home Affairs.
