The Certificate IV in University Preparation (10246NAT) for STEM high achievers is designed to help propel outstanding students' interests towards a career in allied health, engineering, and science into the first year of their undergraduate degree at the University of Queensland.
Students are enrolled in the Certificate IV in University Preparation, an academically demanding program, which is delivered in intensive face-to-face study mode over 18 weeks at the modern campuses of IES College in Brisbane.

Throughout the Certificate IV in University Preparation (10246NAT) for STEM high achievers’ program, academic achievement is carefully monitored, and students are given regular feedback concerning their progress. The type of assessments is dependent on the subject, but normally comprises of examination papers, and assignments to be completed by a specified date during the course, laboratory practical work (if relevant) and seminar participation evaluations.
Students study the compulsory subjects Academic English and Mathmatics.

As part of the application process, prospective students will complete a pre-enrolment interview conducted by an IES College representative in order to be eligible to enrol into the Certificate IV in University Preparation (10246NAT) for high achievers.
Students may also provide evidence of English competency in the form of an IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum score of 6.0 for all sub bands).
