The structure of the Diploma of Beauty Therapy allows students to further their career in beauty therapy in specialised and advanced areas. The Diploma offers beauty therapists additional options for further career advancements in various fields. They include managerial or teaching positions, salon ownership, specialised post-graduate work or a career as a representative for professional beauty therapy companies. Option 1 specialises in relaxation massage, from aromatherapy and reflexology through to Indian head massage. Students will graduate with an understanding of lymphatic drainage massage therapies and alternative therapies. This will be of benefit to those students wishing to work in a day spa, beauty salon or further their career in massage therapies or become salon owners. Option 2 allows our graduates to gain knowledge and skills within the spa environment including Indian head massage and hot stone therapies. Students who complete this option will go on to lead exciting careers in day spas, beauty therapy salons, cruise ships and holiday resorts or become salon owners. Option 3 is designed for those students wishing to gain experience and qualifications in electrolysis which is a great basis for beginning a career in laser or Intense Pulsed Light therapies. Students will graduate with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the skin and permanent hair removal techniques. This option will lead to exciting careers in beauty therapy salons, hair removal clinics, cruise ships and possible salon ownership. All three Diploma of Beauty Therapy options will allow students to gain knowledge and skills in all beauty therapy services from waxing through to body massage and micro-dermabrasion. Our Diploma of Beauty Therapy courses also cover business planning in great depth, giving successful graduates a thorough understanding of salon management the opportunity to open their own business.
