Summary

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply specialised knowledge and skills, together with experience in leadership and management, across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters. They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.

This qualification suits domestic and international learners who wish to pursue careers as executive officers, program consultants, or program coordinators. Potential clients may have vocational experience in a range of work environments in senior support roles, but be lacking a qualification.

Diploma and Advanced Diploma level courses may be eligible for credit points toward a university degree. For example, you may be awarded up to an equivalent of 1 years’ credit toward a Bachelor of Business.

Full Time: 18 months (80 weeks, made up of 60 weeks tuition, and 20 weeks holiday).

Entry criteria

Students must comply with the following criteria to be accepted into a course.

  • Appropriate English level
  • Prior learning or life experience to an appropriate level.
  • At least 14 years of age.
  • An ability to cope with the educational content.

English Language Levels are equivalent to the NRS (National Reporting System) Levels of assessment. A student may present IELTS or other test results as an indication of English proficiency, or assessment of a formal or informal manner may be undertaken by the Campus Manager.
