Description

The Apprentice undertaking this role will primarily service the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as the engine, transmission (clutch, gearbox and differential) and the suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels and tyres).

Length

The nominal duration to complete this competency based apprenticeship is 4 years full time. This duration is proportionately increased for part-time and school-based arrangements. The MTA Institute’s flexible training model takes into account the learner’s skills and knowledge acquired through previous training and experience. This may lead to a reduction in the time required to complete this apprenticeship.

Delivery

There are a range of methods used for our training and assessment which include written and oral questions / answers, and demonstration and observation of practical tasks.
